I. Brief Introduction 

The State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) is an agency directly under the State Council for overall supervision and regulation of work safety and it is also the working body of the Office of the State Council Work Safety Commission.

As prescribed by the State Council, the State Administration of Work Safety administers the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety and directs the overall supervision of coalmine safety.

III. The State Administration of Coal Mine Safety 

The State Administration of Coal Mine Safety (SACMS) is an administrative agency under the State Administration of Work Safety to exercise the state function of supervising coal mine safety. Itconsists of Department of General Affairs (Department of Technology and Equipment), Department of Safety Supervision and Inspection, and Department of Accident Investigation.
